As part of a temporary exhibition at the Bosch UK HQ, Wide Sky visualised the next 125 years of Bosch UK by creating a conceptual ‘universe of future technologies’—a framework that imagines an inherently interconnected future and offers deep dives into key development themes. This roadmap explores the future of home, energy and mobility, highlighting areas of technological focus such as electrification, hydrogen, renewables, energy storage, automation, robotics and AI.

Starting with a Big Bang, the video moves between different the different areas of focus and drills down into details, showcasing Bosch-authored content at intervals.

I created a “galaxy” of tech-styled floating icons, particles and futuristic elements that the viewer navigates through during the course of the animation.

Choreographing this animation was a really enjoyable challenge, and required discipline and planning to keep on top of the mountains of layers and content across 3 connected screens. I made good use of Essential Graphics in After Effects to create modular, reusable compositions that could be changed quickly and easily to fit each theme and subject matter video.
